Name: | Pushistyy | Chernobyl Bear |
---|

Character: Chernobyl Bear
Canon: Camping in Chernobyl by Igor Igorovitch
Andrew was cursing down the empty road in the countryside. It probably wasn’t the best road when it was constructed years ago, but now, time and nature did their treacherous job quite well: potholes, grass and even small trees were all over the road.
“In a couple decades it’s going to be a forest, with bits and pieces of crumbled tarmac as the only reminder, “ he thought “ And hundred years from now it’s there will be little evidence to the fact that any human has ever set foot here.”
He slowed down and opened his visor. Something was blocking the road ahead. Andrew shifted to neutral and continued slowly rolling forward.
“Wild forest. Wild life. Wildlife.” A big bear was in the middle of the road. Staring at him. Defending territory. Andrew stopped twenty yards in front of the bear and opened his holster. He hesitated. Desert Eagle, a not-so-portable hand-cannon was under the seat. It would definitely a better tool for the occasion than the Glock 17 in the holster, but that meant that Andrew had to get off the bike and lose his only escape strategy.
The bear looked determined but Andrew had to get through. “Not really a choice, huh.” Andrew grabbed the gun.
The bear stepped forward.
Safety: off.
The bear made another step and roared.
“Oh I think I can do better than that”, Andrew chuckled. He hid the gun back in the holster, closed the visor and grabbed the handlebars. The bear made another step and Andrew opened up the taps a little bit. The big 4-cylinder Yamaha Vmax engine roared back into life. The bear stepped back. Andrew smiled and opened it all the way: the deep roar of the engine turned into thundering scream. The bear jumped off the road and ran into the woods. Andrew let go of the clutch, taking off in a big cloud of smoke.
